International collaboration with Romanian electronic percussionist MJCatalin. This album broke me onto Public Radio International thanks to John DIliberto's "Echoes" show. Catalin sent me some music he'd worked up using samples he'd made from "Through the Airlock" - I played around with a few of them and swiftly realized this needed to become an album. "Song of the Dodo" remains the most popular track, though my personal favorite is "To Cross the Sea of Clouds". I feel a good album recording should establish a mood and draw you in to live there for a while. It's great driving music too!
